Holiday Intensive Courses

In response to many requests for holiday programs at ACE, we’ve introduced two new Holiday Intensive courses for January 2026, to run alongside our very popular “Working Scientifically” course.

These courses are aimed at students who want to get ahead and join our Accelerated classes in January so covering the Module prior for each of Year 11 and Year 12:

Module 6 (HSC Term 2) Course

• Subjects offered:  Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Extension 1 Maths, Extension 2 Maths and Economics
• Dates:  Monday 5 January – Thursday 8 January
• What:   this course is targeted at 2026 HSC students who want to join ACE’s Accelerated HSC classes which will be moving to Module 7 (Term 3) from Saturday 10 January.
• Daily Schedule: The course will comprise 20 hours of tuition over four days covering the entire term’s content.  Classes will commence at 10:30am and finish at 4:00pm (inclusive of a 30 minute break for lunch). 
• Course cost: $900

Module 1 (Prelim Term 1) Course

• Subjects offered:  Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Extension 1 Maths and Economics
• Dates:  Monday 12 January – Thursday 15 January
• What:  This course is targeted at 2026 Year 11 students who want to get ahead with the Term 1 content for Year 11!  This will enable students to then join our Accelerated Prelim classes which will commence Module 2 (Term 2) content from Saturday 17 January. 
• Daily Schedule: The course will comprise 16 hours of tuition over four days covering the entire term’s content.  Classes will commence at 11:00am and finish at 3:30pm (inclusive of a 30 minute break for lunch).
• Course cost:  $720

*Please note for both of these courses, if you are able to attend weekly classes, we would recommend joining our usual Standard HSC classes (commencing Module 6 from Saturday 10 January) or our Standard Prelim classes (commencing with Module 1 from Saturday 17 January), as the intensive program will be heavy going for most students to cover the entire term’s content in such a short period of time.

We will also be offering our very popular Working Scientifically course, once again!

Working Scientifically Course

• Dates:  Monday 19 January – Thursday 22 January
• What:  This course is targeted at students who will be in Year 11 or Year 12 in 2026 studying Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics, who have not previously completed this course or attended Term 4 of our Year 10 Science classes.  Working Scientifically is content that is not usually taught at school but is essential for student’s success in all the senior science subjects to complete practical assessments and depth studies.  Each day will focus on a key Working Scientifically skillset, relevant to all Sciences, including:
  • Day 1 – Experimental Quality;
  • Day 2 – Data, Graphs and Trends;
  • Day 3 – Mathematical Toolbox for Science; and 
  • Day 4 – Depth Study Assessments (and Mock Exam)
• Daily Schedule:  The course will comprise 16 hours of tuition over four days covering the entire term’s content.  Classes will commence at 11:00am and finish at 3:30pm (inclusive of a 30 minute break for lunch).
